Do you feel like you’re in a hamster wheel, going round and round and round? Or maybe you are old enough (like me) to remember the movie “Groundhog Day”. Do you feel like this is your season right now? The only problem with living in the real world is you don’t get to change yesterday. Rats!
But be encouraged.
A NEW THING IS COMING!
Do you believe, deep in your heart, that there has to be more to life than this? Do you long to see the wickedness of the world lessen and for the Lord to shine brightly in dark places?
For two years now, the Lord has been telling me about this new level of glory that is coming to the earth and is even showing me some of what that will look like. I can’t express in words how exciting that is!!
It has begun in different countries in the world already – mainly in the third world areas – and it’s coming to a place near you.
Out with the old, in with the new!
If you have been in a church for any period of time, you would have probably heard about the old and new wineskins mentioned in Mark 2:22.
“No one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins as well; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins.”
What does this mean?
Let’s just say that you are a Believer and you still have the old mindset that you are a sinner. Remember you and me sin but that does not make us a sinner, anymore than living in a converted garage makes us a car.
For example, God wants to bless you with healing in your body. You need healing but don’t really believe that God will or even wants to heal you because you believe you are a dirty rotten sinner. You may not know that He longs to heal you (either through the miraculous or through health specialists) because you believe that you are still a sinner and God disapproves of you. You are still trying to earn God’s approval and don’t know how to come BOLDLY before the throne of grace to ask for what you need, or how to actually receive that which you need (Heb 4:16).
There’s a tension between asking and truly believing God for what you need, and then being able to receive it.
In this case, this is who you truly are, “holy and blameless“, if you have bowed your knee in full submission to Jesus:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HAS BLESSED US WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him.
Ephesians 1:3 (NASB)
I have exciting news for you: every spiritual blessing includes HEALING!

GOD LONGS TO HEAL YOU!
The ‘old wineskins’ are the old mindsets that you believe. The old mindset here is that you are an dirty rotten sinner. That couldn’t be further from the truth. You ARE the righteousness of God. You ARE a son or daughter of your loving Heavenly Father. You ARE fiercely and passionately loved. You ARE living in the Better Covenant so you WILL be blessed, simply because you are in relationship with God. How fantastic is that! (For more on the Better Covenant, Pt 1 and Pt 2 are here.)
In other words, if God tries to pour out His glory – which is His goodness – into your old mindset of ‘I’m still a sinner’, you won’t receive it and it will be very difficult for you to walk in your true identity – a SON or DAUGHTER of God!
We need Holy Spirit to change our thinking.
Dangerous Prayers
Lately my prayers have been for Holy Spirit to burn up everything in me that is not of the Lord. I have also been asking Him to reveal the deep deceptions that are hiding in my belief systems.
The thing about deception is you don’t know when you are being deceived. All that I know is I don’t want to be.
Why am I doing this?
Because the new move of God’s glory, goodness and power is coming and I want to be ready. I want my mindset to be a new wineskin ready to receive the new wine.
The train of glory, as it were, is coming. It is not going to stop to wait for you or me. It will slow down long enough for you to jump on board but the momentum must keep moving forward.
Are you ready to be a part of the most exciting time in history?
Well then, you need to get rid of the things that will weigh you down. You can’t jump onto a moving train when you are carrying loads baggage.
When the train comes, JUST JUMP ON BOARD! Don’t get left behind.
This next move of God will be messy as well as glorious, as all previous moves have been. Many will fall away because they will be happy in the religiosity of Christianity and will miss God’s goodness altogether. A member of my prayer team said, “Some people are content to have just enough of Jesus to get into Heaven but not enough of Him to experience the abundance, freedom, joy and relationship with God that He died and rose again to give.”
How sad is that!
Don’t be one of them.
Decide today that when that train whistle blows, you’ll be ready.
God is ALWAYS good. His plan has always been to see Heaven come to earth so that earth looks like Heaven.

“May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”

God longs for and is waiting to bring Heaven to earth through YOU!
He could do it on His own but He chooses not to. He longs to partner with people to get the job done.
Wouldn’t you love to have a deep and intimate relationship with the One who created you and knows you? Wouldn’t you love to know His mysteries and secrets that He longs to give you? (Eph 1:9) Don’t you want to move in power to push back the darkness and forces of hell itself?
Ask Holy Spirit to prepare you for what is to come. He will do it. Listen and obey then jump on board when you hear the whistle blow.
