Be Stirred But Not Shaken

Last Monday afternoon I had a physical encounter with the goodness of God.

Have you ever had a moment with God and it just wasn’t the most opportune time?

I was driving in the pouring rain with lots of lightning carrying on all around me. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the light shows that God puts on … just not while I’m driving in it. For those of you who may not know, I was electrocuted by a lightning bolt hitting a power line right next to me so as you can imagine, I am more than a little nervous when the light show begins. (If you’re curious, you can read about it here – “The Day I was Touched by Lightning”)

Back to the encounter.

I was driving to meet my friend and I felt the tangible goodness of God fill the car. It was so overpowering that I began to cry and cry. They weren’t tears of sadness but of immense gratefulness for who He is and for all that He does in my life.

I KNOW that without Father God and all that Jesus has done, I would not be sitting here, typing this post to you.

I wanted to pull over in the car but it was peak hour traffic, rain pelting down and I didn’t want to be late to meet my friend.

Just as soon as the sense of goodness came and filled me and the car, a strong sense of grief then followed.

It wasn’t grief of loss but a grief of intense sadness.

Not asleep ….

I asked the Lord what He was grieving over.

I asked Him was He sad that His Church, His Bride is asleep.

This was Father God’s response:

“No, Donna. My Church is not asleep, She’s in a coma.

Oh how My heart grieves that She doesn’t know how extremely beautiful and amazing She is.

My Bride is more powerful than She can ever imagine but She is not aware of this power that I have given to Her.

The enemy’s lies have infiltrated her foundations and She is not standing as firm against them as She once did.

My children, My Church needs to know what is truth and what is not.

Shaken but not stirred … 

Not many days after pondering this encounter and seeking the Lord, He gave me a picture of the earth being shaken and large cracks showing.

There were many people (Believers) who had their feet fixed fast to the earth’s surface and even though their bodies were flailing around, their feet were steadfast, unmovable. Others who were not serious about their relationship with Jesus or who were not walking in obedience to Him were falling into the cracks. They didn’t perish but the ones with feet firmly fixed were lifted to greater heights of intimacy and power in the Lord.

This is what I immediately heard after the picture left my mind and a very strong sense of the Lord came near:

THE SHAKING HAS BEGUN

“Just as there is a shaking in the natural realm, so there is a larger shaking in the spirit realm.

The kingdom of darkness has had its reign for long enough and it’s time to bring out what is hidden, into the light – My Light (Mk 4:22).

The shaking is not a punishment or a judgement. It is to show My children what is really in their hearts, where their foundation is truly set.

For those who know My heart and yearn for My goodness to come to the earth, these are the ones who will have their feet firmly planted on the ground. The earth will shake around them but they will not fall (Ps 16:8). It will be very challenging at times but they will see victory and will reap a harvest if they faint not (Gal 6:9).

There is so much fear within My Body and it should not be so (1 Jn 4:18).

Doom and gloom and warnings of tribulation are being shouted from the roof tops and this is not from Me.

My plans are good (Rom 8:28). Just look at My Son.

Jesus came to earth to heal the broken relationship between mankind and Myself through forgiveness (Lk 1:77), but that’s not all.

He lived a life of example of how My Bride is to live on earth (Jn 13:34) – in power and authority (Lk 10:19). He revealed how to bring Heaven to earth – just as He told you do to (Mt 6:10). He died and shed His blood so that you and I could be together again. He rose again to give you life abundant on earth (Jn 10:10) and eternal life thereafter (Jn 17:2). He sent Holy Spirit to live in you so that you can walk in power, signs and wonders to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons (Mt 10:8), multiply provisions (Mk 6), reconcile families (Lk 1:17), disciple nations (Mt 28:19), live in abundance (Jn 10:10), bless others (Rom 12:14) and preach the Kingdom of God (Rom 10:15) … and SO MUCH MORE!

What this means for you and me …

Now is the time that I need My Church to stand in glory, strength, authority and power and be clothed in gentleness, humility, kindness and hope.

“For the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God.” Romans 8:19 (NASB)

Now is the time for you to know personally that I am good.

Don’t hide when what is around you is being shaken. Receive My goodness. Receive My love.

I AM GOOD AND I LOVE YOU.

THIS is the truth that you need to know.

THIS is the truth that the world needs to know!

Are you willing to stand on this truth?

Are you willing to say “Yes”, to stand firm and come up higher?

Come up here, with Me.

“‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” (Jer 33:3 (NASB)

Isn’t this amazing!

Jesus came to give you so much.

Are you willing to stand up and take it, no matter the cost?

Be stirred by God’s heart but not shaken by circumstances. He is showing you what will last and have eternal value. Don’t hold onto that which will not last (Mt 6:20). Let it go.

Father God only has good plans for you.

Begin to ask Holy Spirit to reveal this truth to you today.

Don’t take my word for it, experience His goodness for yourself.

You’ll be so glad you did.
