Endless Possibilities – The Next Step

What do you love to do?

What brings immense joy to your heart?

If you could do anything, what would you do?

I don’t want you to rush past these questions. Take some time to sit and really ponder these things.

I know people who will never allow themselves to sit in silence. In the car they have to have the radio on. At home they either have the music on louder than it needs to be or have a phone attached to their ear. They do this to avoid the chaos that is going on inside their own heart and mind.

Don’t get me wrong, I TOTALLY get that but to live like this all the time is just not healthy – for anyone.

I love to read and learn. These are my 2 very favourite things to do. They bring me such joy and really refresh my heart. I love being around people but I’m not one that loves it 24 hours a day (says the homeschooling mum – I know). I take time each day, no matter how small to read and learn something new.

Find what brings you joy

What brings joy to your heart? What lights you up on the inside?

Take some time to find out what this is if you don’t already know. Then take steps to move toward doing more of this. There are so many difficulties in life, why not incorporate what brings you joy?

YOU ARE WORTH IT!

2019 The Year Of Endless Possibilities

This is truly going to be a fantastic year for those who want it to be. It will be hard work but it will be worth it.

Imagine getting to New Year’s Eve, 2019, looking back and thinking, “Well that was the best year I’ve ever had!”

Wouldn’t that be amazing?!

What Do You Want?

This is what you first must decide. Here is the perfect place to start. Deciding this is the very first step.
(I wrote in depth on how to do this here. It’s worth taking the time to do this. You’ll be glad you did.)

The Next Step

You may feel that the year is already on it’s way. Don’t look at what’s behind – look to what’s ahead.

Today I thought I would share with you an excerpt from my own personal journal. Like maybe some of you, I have big dreams for this year but am wondering what the next step is. Jesus asked me to set aside time to listen to Him this past week and part of what He told me was this:

“The steps that lead to victory are steep but I will help you all the way. Write what you see.”

I see very large steps in the distance, going up into the sky.  I see myself walking up them, alone, but with a being beside me. I can’t work out the shape but I know there is a being by my side. There is a dark mist or cloud underneath the stairs, just below me, but the steps are going up into glorious yellow and white light.

“These are the steps that will take you to your destiny. You are to keep walking forward, not looking down or behind but keep walking and looking up. Even when you get tired, don’t look down or behind – keep looking up and forward for there your destiny awaits.”

The purple parts are what Jesus said. Isn’t He just so beautiful?

Notice how He said to, “Keep walking forward, NOT looking down or behind but keep walking and looking up.”

This is truly important.

“Do not call to mind the former things,
Or ponder things of the past.
“Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.”          Isaiah 43:18-19 

Deal with your past.

Get counselling if you need to but deal with it so it can be left behind. It will try and follow you but don’t bring it with you into your future. It will only hold you back. There is no shame in getting help. It will set you free.

I spent many years in counsellor’s offices trying to deal with the trauma of my childhood. To be honest, each time I got to a certain point, they said, “Sorry, we can’t help you any further.” Well that’s just great. Now what?

There was only one thing to do. Put on my ‘big girl britches’ and get on with it.

What did I do? I read, learnt and asked God for help. My love of learning and reading really was such a blessing during this time. He told me each step to take. He would lead me each step of the way. Now I am so much freer than I have ever been in my life. God is amazing!

God’s Heart For You!

Today I feel that God wants me to share His heart for you.

Here is what I sense He is saying to you today. Take this personally, just as if it was just you and me talking over a piping hot cup of tea or a mug of coffee.

Here is your Heavenly Father’s message, just for you:

“What a year this will be if you take My hand, walk alongside me and listen to My heart. Oh how I love you! My heart fills with such joy and delight as I look at you. You are My beautiful creation whom I fashioned – just as I wanted you to be.

You have great purpose, My child. You may feel lost but I have not lost you. I have been with you all along – even when you didn’t know it. I am not angry at you nor am I disappointed. My heart swells with pride as I watch you each day.

Yes, you mess up but do you think that changes My love for you? It does not. My love for you can never diminish for it is I who created you. I am your Father and I know you better than you know yourself.

You see, I focus on your potential, not on your failures. I see what I have birthed in you and this is what I long to draw out in you. I am not done with you yet, your life is not over. Don’t look at where you are now. Look at where you want to be and the road that will get you there.

I am there. I am on the road waiting to take your hand and walk beside you.

Do you think I would ever leave you where you are? Oh no, My child. The things that I have in store for you will totally blow your mind. My dreams for you are infinitely bigger than your own dreams. You were born for greatness.

Take My hand today. Don’t delay for I want to walk with you into your destiny. Now is the time. Come with Me for I will never leave you.

I love you. Let Me love you today.”

Isn’t He so very precious? Take to heart these words for they are for YOU!

Action Steps

For this coming few weeks, take time to discover:

• how your Heavenly Father sees and loves you
• discover what brings you joy
• find out what you love to do, and
• if you could do anything with God helping you and time and money were not an obstacle, what would you do?

Remember, none of your designed purpose can be fulfilled without the Designer. He longs to be with you – each and every day. Take time to sit with Him and dream big together. It’s so much fun.

You’ll be so glad you did. Really, really!
