How To See Heaven For Yourself

Have you thought about what Heaven actually looks like or what it will be like to live there? What is happening there right now?

Have you ever wondered what God looks like?
I have written about my experience of seeing God in His throne room here, so check it out if you haven’t already.

You can ask Holy Spirit to show you what He wants to show you or you can ask Him to reveal something specific that you would like to see.

Let me explain from my own experience. I have had so many miscarriages that I lost count. To be honest, it was too traumatic to remember them all. However, in recent years, I had heard people say that it’s a good idea to name each baby because in Heaven, everyone has a name. I decided to ask God to show me how many babies I actually have in Heaven so I can name them all. I was so surprised when Holy Spirit showed me my 13 children. They were with my maternal grandmother and she was happily playing with them. What overwhelming joy this gave my heart! My eyes are welling up with happy tears just thinking about it. What is even more extraordinary is that a week before my Nan passed away, I had written her a letter telling her all about Jesus and the way to have relationship with Him. That was 31 years ago. I didn’t know if she ever read it – until that moment.

Wow and wow!

Would you like to know how you can see into the Heavenly realm?

It really is possible TODAY but there are a few things that you need to know first.

Someone who has submitted their life to Jesus and is therefore covered by His blood, is now made righteous, is forgiven, can now enter into the spiritual realm.

However, anyone who tries to enter into this realm that has not done the above does so illegally. They enter under the power of the devil, not under the power of Holy Spirit. They will not be protected by God’s covering and will purposely, or inadvertently, cause the demonic realm to be activated in their lives. Clairvoyants have a prophetic/seeing gift but it is activated by the demonic realm. That’s why Believers (or anyone actually) should never seek out the future from this avenue. Plus, the devil is the father of lies. Why would anyone want to listen to him?!

However …

DO NOT FEAR. You have authority over the devil!

If your life is submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, then you are already seated in Heavenly places with Him (Eph 2:6) so therefore you have access to Heaven right now.

How incredibly amazing is that!

“Come up here!”

Revelation 4:1 is an open invitation for the Apostle John to go into Heaven and see what was going to happen soon. The book of Revelation is the Lord showing John what was about to happen in the events leading up to 70AD, which was the destruction of Jerusalem.

The Lord was revealing the very near future.

You, therefore, have the same invitation.

Heaven has them all.

How did Jesus know what His Father wanted Him to do? John 5:19 says that Jesus did what He SAW His Father doing. How did Jesus see?

I believe that Jesus saw the Father in the same that I did, the same way that thousands of others have seen, and even the same way that the great fathers of the faith did. Some examples are: Heb 11:13, Ps 22, Heb 11:22.

The How To …

So, let’s get down to it.

Firstly, relax. This is not a strict formula. You partner with Holy Spirit and He will lead you.

(I’ve had 2 testimonies in the last week of people who I have shown this method to and they each had an incredible encounter with the living God. It works!)

Step 1

Begin by thanking God for things that He has done for you during your day, how He has revealed Himself to you, blessed you, and for who He is for you and to you. Psalm 100:4 says that we are to “Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.” Spend some minutes in this step. Your Heavenly Father is truly worthy of this time. This is where you begin.

Step 2

Spend a minute or so asking Holy Spirit to reveal any sin that you need to confess to Father God. 1 John 1:9 says, “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” This is an important step and you never have to fear coming before God to confess your sins. He so passionately loves you, He is waiting with open arms. Receive His forgiveness and let’s go.

Step 3

Thank Holy Spirit for being with you and never ever leaving you. He is your Helper and Teacher in all circumstances (John 14:26). He is the One who will walk with you and lead you in your encounter.

I find it easier to close my eyes as it shuts out all distractions and it’s easier to focus. You do what works for you.

Now, ask Holy Spirit to show you the things He wants you to see. There are many ways He can speak to you. You might get a faint picture in your mind – don’t shrug it off thinking, “It was just me.” You might hear a word – focus on that. Keep the picture or the word in your mind and keep your focus on it. Keep talking to Holy Spirit throughout the time. Ask Him questions about what you are seeing or hearing.

Ask Him what is it that He wants you to see?

You can also ask Him to show you something specific.

YOU have access to Heaven. YOU have the mind of Christ which means YOU can know His thoughts. YOU can have answers to your deepest questions.

Step 4

Keep a record of what you experience. You can record it into your phone – by typing or speaking, write it in a journal, type it into a document, but make sure you have a record of it. It’s a good idea to review in the coming days as it will remind you that God is good and that He loves you passionately. It also encourages you to know that you can do this anytime, anywhere.

Bill Johnson said that God does not give you an experience to ‘get by’. He gives you the experience to see what’s available as a lifestyle.

Maybe this just might be a key in bringing Heaven into the earth.
