Today we celebrate YOU on this Mother’s Day.
Whether you are a biological mother, an adoptive mum or a carer, or even a spiritual nurturer or mother to anyone …
You are celebrated … simply because you are YOU!
It can be an interesting day that brings tremendous joy or can trigger intense pain.
Whichever it brings, I want you to know that …
YOU ARE SEEN & VALUED BY GOD!
I’ve heard people say that motherhood is one of the hardest jobs on the planet.
I so agree.
It doesn’t matter if you have 1 or 10 children, it’s hard.
The best place for personal growth is in the ‘School of Motherhood’.
It’s a job that has the capability to make you feel like you have disappeared, lost yourself and you’ve become an empty shell of who you used to be.
It’s also a job that can be the most rewarding and satisfying and can cause you to feel like you could take on the world.
I began to see that my husband and I aren’t raising children …
… we are raising functional, powerful adults.
As are you.
You are leaving a legacy for future generations.
You are shaping the future of the world.
This is actually how important you are.
You are Father God’s precious daughter, His amazing child whom He passionately loves and adores.
Did you know that?
Just a you probably stared at your child when they were born, or marvel at something a child or spiritual son or daughter that you care for does, Father God looks at you with a heart that’s bursting with pride and joy.
How very precious you are to Him – no matter what’ve you done.
He sees you and you are valued as priceless!
This is how you are seen in Father God’s eyes … and in all of Heaven in fact.
It doesn’t matter what one person thinks of you or how they see you here on earth, or even how you view yourself …
God sees YOU as the most important, valued, precious, valued, good, fashioned being in ALL of Creation.
This is how amazing you are.
But this is not all you are.
The importance of your life extends beyond the walls of your family.
You are a vital part of the Body of Christ.
You have a part to play that only you can do.
No-one else has your experience, your wealth of knowledge, your heart, your gifts and talents that have your own flair to them.
This is how important you are.
See yourself as Jesus does.
Did you know that He sees you very differently to how you see you?
He sees your beauty, your grace, your love, your heart and your potential.
I encourage you to take some time, even 5 mins, to ask God to show you exactly as He sees you.
How to: Sit somewhere quiet, by yourself, (the bathroom if you have to) close your eyes and ask Father God to reveal to you just how He sees you. This may come in a picture in your imagination, a word or sentence that comes as a thought, a memory of a fantastic moment in your life, or a sense or knowing in your gut. Whichever it is, go with it and don’t dismiss it. Make a note somewhere of what you sense.
If you don’t get anything straight away, that’s ok. Try again later. God may speak to you through encouragement brought to you by someone else.
Don’t argue with God. He doesn’t lie.
Go with what He reveals to you. If it’s anything negative, it’s not God.
He will only show you beautiful aspects of you because this is what He focuses on.
My prayer for you today …
Father God,
I thank you for every person who reads this today or in the future – man or woman. I pray that they would know just how beautiful, amazing and important they are. I pray that they would see themselves, just how You see them.
For all the mother’s today, I pray a special blessing from Heaven for them. I pray that these very special women will all experience You in a very personal and memorable way. You love them so passionately and fiercely and I pray that You will fill and heal their hearts with your abounding love to overflowing.
Draw them closer to your heart, hold them in your arms, whisper in their ear the secrets of Your heart for them.
Thank You, Father, that you hear us. Your Word says that we can ask for anything, according to Your will, believe that we have received it and it will be ours (Mark 11:24).
Thank You for how You will reveal Yourself to Your precious and treasured daughters today.
We love you, Father. Thank You that you first loved us … just as we are.
Have a wonderful day and remember,
YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!
Abundant blessings to you and HAPPY Mother’s Day!
You deserve it.
