Nothing Can Stop the Goodness of God!

“Nothing can stop You, God!”

These were the words I heard myself say in prayer one morning.

Do you sometimes wonder where God is and if He really is doing anything? Is He sitting back having a nap saying, “I’ll get to that later”?

I can assure you, He isn’t. He is your Waymaker who is constantly working behind the scenes. It’s not a striving for Him. He loves you that much that He longs to work all things together for good for you (Romans 8:28). Even the bad things He can turn around. He is that good!

“Nothing can stop You, God!”

God is on your side. He always was and always will be.

I asked the Lord why I was saying that and I sensed He was letting me know that His purposes and plans will not be stopped. It was such an encouragement.

At the time when I said these words, my world was spinning and I was having a crisis of faith. Not that I didn’t believe in God – that’s a no brainer, for me anyway. It was, is God really working behind the scenes when all the compartments of my world are falling to pieces? Most of the prophetic words that He had given me over the years were not only not coming to pass, but they seemed to be swiftly headed in the opposite direction.

Enter free will.

This is where I had to let go of my expectations of other people, of God and even of myself. I am only in control of myself and not anyone else.

I had to release everyone, my situations and even myself to the One who can manage it all. Remember, God is not in control but He most certainly is in charge. He can handle anything.

You can speed up God’s purposes for your life.

When we, as His children, go our own path and direct our own steps, His plans are delayed. Delayed obedience is still disobedience.

However, we can actually speed up His purposes on the earth and in our lives by partnering with Him. We are not only our Mighty God’s children but we can also choose to be His bondslaves (1 Peter 2:16). A bondslave is a person who was a servant or slave but was set free by their owner. The slave then chose to stay to serve their master as a free person, because they loved their master who treated them so very well.

You get the awesome privilege of choosing to be your Heavenly Father’s bondslaves, yet have all the benefits of being His chosen son or daughter. This is incredible!

This needs to be our posture to speedily bring about the purposes of God in our lives and spheres of influence. 

God’s Question to Me

The question God asked me was, “Will you still believe in your convictions of My Word, even if no-one else will?”

To be honest, I had to think about it. I was being tested about my beliefs and was truly shaken to my core, and it hurt. It hurt bad!

However, I know God doesn’t lie so I chose to answer, “Yes.” I have seen Him work miracles so nothing and no-one was going to change my mind.

NOTHING CAN STOP GOD!

Is there an area in your life that seems to be falling apart and you wonder how you will ever survive? Do you have promises from God that seem so far away now that they have become a distant memory, or you’ve even forgotten about them completely?

I want to assure you, God has not forgotten you and He has not left you to your own devices. He is working behind the scenes, preparing a way for you to succeed, to rejoice in victory, to grow in faith and to be even closer to Him.

Hang in there – even if that’s all you can do.

He’s got you and He’ll never let you go. Ever!

God is ALWAYS. working behind the scenes for you. He is that good! He is your Waymaker and is always alert. He loves you that much!

A prayer for you today. 

I so desperately want to love You, God, as passionately and ferociously as You love me. I want to worship You in spirit and in truth. Even if I never have another encounter with You, I want to love You as Jesus does and love people as Jesus does.

I lay down every wrong expectation of You and every selfish attitude and motive that I have. I release every person of my wrong expectations and I choose to obey You, no matter the cost. I am scared but I ask You to help me. You are the One true, good God so I choose, by an act of my will, to trust You. 

Please help me. I submit every part of myself to You to do with and work in as You wish. Come Holy Spirit and occupy every area of my life.

Thank You, Father. Amen.
