We are living in truly extraordinary times. The news has nothing but ‘bad news’ and is laden with fear.
Have you noticed that the Bible says that the Kingdom of God and all that Jesus brings is ‘good news’? (Luke 2:10, Romans 10:15, Hebrews 4:2)
“But as Philip preached the WONDERFUL NEWS of God’s kingdom realm, and the name of Jesus the Anointed One, many believed his message and were baptized, both men and women.”
Acts 8:12 (TPT)
Where is the good news?
Inside of you and me.
Wow!
Do you want to know your future and the future of the world?
Read the Bible and ask God to tell you.
When I was a lot younger, I used to desire to go to a clairvoyant to know the future. I lived in hopelessness for most of my earlier life and I desperately wanted to know what was in store for me later on.
I was a Believer but I didn’t realise that God was talking to me and I had friends that sought the counsel of clairvoyants regularly.
Thankfully, God stopped me each time I thought about it.
You see clairvoyants, psychics, fortune tellers, tea leaf readers and taro card readers hear from the spirit realm but from the devil’s kingdom.
The demons don’t know your exact future. They also disguise themselves as dead relatives or friends to fool people into listening to them. The Bible says that there is a chasm that people who did not know Jesus cannot come across once they have died (Luke 16:26).
The demonic realm then gives seed to the clairvoyant, etc, to plant in the person’s mind. Because the person believes it, takes hold of it and then acts it out, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy – not a God-given prophecy. These precious people hear and see the demonic realm because they have a prophetic gifting. They are just deceived and are hearing from the wrong realm.
King Saul was tormented by a spirit because he sought out a medium instead of seeking God (The story is in 1 Samuel 28).
My hairdresser used to regularly see a clairvoyant but when I explained to her what actually happens, she no longer sees them. I have heard her numerous times tell other clients what happens and encourages them not to go either.
This is indeed good news!
Note: If you have sought this type of future telling and you are sorry for it, ask the Lord to forgive you and cleanse you and you will be forgiven (1 Jn1:9). No sin is unforgivable while you’re alive.
“So, how do I discover my future?” …
… I hear you asking.
Let me tell you,
You ask the One who knows – Jesus.
He knows your end from your beginning (Ps 139:16, Is 46:10 & Rev 21:6).
Nothing takes God by surprise.
He sees everything and His plans are ALWAYS GOOD.
People get in the way, we get in the way to change His plans but God is a God of redemption, of turning ALL THINGS around for your good (Rom 8:28).
You can ask Him anything. He has very broad shoulders and any question you have would not shock or offend Him.
Remember:
Jesus has every answer to your every question
& has many solutions for your every problem
There are many ways that He can speak to you:
- In dreams
- Thoughts popping into your mind
- Through a movie or tv show
- A knowing deep inside
- A picture just shows up in your imagination and you wonder where that came from
- Someone giving you a prophecy
- Through listening to a teaching or a testimony
- You wake up with a Scripture or a song going through you mind (It doesn’t even have to be a Christian song. I sometimes wake up with the song, “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley. You may laugh but look up the words!)
There are so many ways.
For example:
I have shared this before but it is appropriate here. I was having a really hard time when our children were very little and I was incredibly sleep deprived. I would cry and pray almost every time I drove a car, begging God not to let me kill my children because I was so scared of falling asleep behind the wheel.
It was a particularly bad day as I had had only a few hours sleep during the previous week and I was almost at breaking point. I stopped at a set of traffic lights and right beside me, a semi with an empty trailer pulled up alongside me. On the back of the cab it said in huge letters:
“I will carry your burden.”
Isn’t God beautiful?
He was reminding me that He is with me and that He is there to help me, every step of the way. I never did fall asleep behind the wheel and my eldest child is now 22.
You hear His voice. John 10:27 says you do.
If you have been following me for any length of time, you will know that one of my favourite verses in the Bible is Jeremiah 33:3.
“‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’”
Jeremiah was in prison when he heard these words from the Lord God so he was having a hard time.
The same call goes out to you today:
Call to God and He will answer you, and He will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’”
I do this on almost a daily basis and Jesus always has something to say. It may not be what I think or He may not answer a question in the way I would like, but He always has something to say.
It may just be an encouragement. If you are finding it hard to hear anything, think on the last thing that He communicated to you.
What is God saying amidst these times?
While I was ironing the other day, the presence of God fell heavily on me and I heard Him say strongly, not audibly, but the thought was very strong in my mind:
“I am requiring new levels of intimacy with Holy Spirit, a greater commitment to My Kingdom and higher levels of excellence in everything that My people put their hands to.”
You see, the world needs to know that God is good and that He is there for them. The Body of Christ needs to know and believe the same thing.
God is not hiding under a rock, worried about what’s coming.
Does He like what is happening? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
So … He has a plan.
He wants to share that plan with YOU!
He wants to partner with YOU in making that plan come to pass.
He longs for YOU!
Will you say, “Yes” to Father God today?
Will you give Him your “Yes” and partner with Him in bringing His plans to the earth?
Are you willing to get to know His voice, His ways, and His love in an even greater way?
Are you willing to commit to doing whatever it is that the Lord is asking you to do?
Are you willing to work and think in new levels of excellence, no matter how mundane the task, to partner with God in bringing Heaven to earth?
I’m not saying it will be easy but I can guarantee you, it will be worth it!
Nothing is wasted. God can use every opportunity you find yourself in to witness to others, to build you up and to fulfil His purposes in your life.
Be intentional about encouraging others – both fellow Believers and pre-believers.
As a child of God, you have the ability to have the highest of intelligence, the most creative and innovative ideas, solutions to every problem, all because you HAVE the mind of Christ RIGHT NOW! You have access to every idea that Heaven has and the best thing is …
… Heaven will back you up and give you all the resources that you need to solve a problem, answer a question and ultimately, bring Heaven to earth.
How incredible is that!!!!
You are a part of the greater plan.
You were created for purpose and with promise.
Everything that God has created you for, you have access to all the resources you need to bring Heaven to earth. You just need to ask Him for them and He is more than willing to give you everything.
The future is exciting. The future is glorious. The future, your future is nothing short of miraculous.
Just wait and see.
