What Does “It is Finished!” Mean For You? – Pt 2

Would you like your life to be forever changed? Did you know you have the ability to live the most amazing life ever, because of what Jesus did for you?

You can’t earn it, buy it or deserve it. God wants to give it to you and all you have to do is choose it and say, “Yes” to Jesus.

Today we are going to look at some of the many, many benefits that you get from living on this side of the cross. What did Jesus die for and be resurrected to actually give you?

If you missed Part 1, you can read it here. It puts this post in context and sets the foundation for what I’ll share with you today.

A Quick Recap

When Adam and Eve sinned, it wasn’t just that they disobeyed God – it was that they obeyed Satan. This is how they gave the authority that God had given them over to Satan. They switched masters. They were already like God but the enemy persuaded them to think that they weren’t. They already had total dominion and authority over everything created – including Satan himself.

But they forgot.

Therefore, Adam and Eve inadvertently handed that dominion and authority over to the devil.

But … here’s the good news!

Jesus, after He died on the cross, descended into hell and took back ALL that authority and dominion for Himself to give back to you and me.

What a plan!

I heard someone say that if Satan knew what was going to happen after Jesus was crucified, he would have killed everyone who was trying to kill Jesus beforehand.

Not only did Jesus die, then go get authority and dominion back, He rose again into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of Father God.

He put His own blood upon the mercy seat, signifying that no sacrifices were needed anymore. Isn’t that fantastic!

Now, let’s get into what this means for you.

The list is really long so I have put it at the end and it is by no means exhaustive.

The only condition to have these blessings is that you need to be living in relationship with Jesus.

YOU ARE UNCONDITIONALLY, FIERCELY, PASSIONATELY LOVED AND ADORED!

Seriously, what else could you possibly ask for?

The old covenant is about performance. The better covenant is about Presence.

Jesus did everything that was required for you and me to have an intimate and personal relationship with God. All we have to do is say, “Yes” to Him when He draws you near.

The Bible says that ,”No-one comes to the Son unless the Father draws him first.” (John 6:44)

My prayer for you today is that you will take hold of these promises and search the Word for even more. Take these as your own – because Jesus died and rose again so that you could.

They’re all yours!

Read over them and add your own. Pick the ones that stand out to you – memorise them, meditate on them (roll them around and around in your mind, think deeply about them), claim them as your own, and ask Holy Spirit to help you understand what each one means for you personally.

Not only will your relationship with God change and become more personal, you will have a different outlook on life. You will discover that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world and that truly nothing is impossible to you that is in line with the will of God.

Benefits for you living in the Better Covenant.

• You are no longer a sinner but a saint – Matt 5:45, Eph 4:12, Matt 9:13, 1 Peter 3:12
• You are a daughter of Father God – 1 John 3:1
• You have a restored relationship with God as your personal, Heavenly Father – 2 Cor 5:18, Eph 2:13
• You have access to complete healing and transformation – 1 Pet 2:24
• You are loved with God’s great love – Eph 2:4
• He can fill you with His love and forgiveness so you can love and forgive others – even those who hurt you – John 13:34
• God can give you recompense for everything that has been stolen from you by the devil – Prov 6:31
• You have insight and understanding into the mysteries of God – Col 1:26, Eph 3:6
• You co-create with God when you declare promises given to you by Him – Romans 4:17
• You can heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons. You have authority over EVERY sickness and every type of pain – Matt 10:8
• You can receive Heaven’s solutions for earth’s problems – Matt 18:19, Matt 6:10
• You are now mandated to bring Heaven to earth through your life – Matt 18:19, Matt 6:10
• You have the mind of Christ so you are able to know and have His thoughts. You can live with a Kingdom perspective and change the world around you.  – 1 Cor 2:16
• You are an ambassador of Christ therefore, you have all the power and authority that He has – 2 Cor 5:20
• You are no longer condemned or have to live in shame – Rom 8:1
• God abides in you and you abide in Him so just as Jesus is, so are you in this world – 1 John 4:16-17
• You can now live with the conviction that nothing is impossible and that every time you pray, something happens, you may not see it immediately but something happens – James 5:18, Matt 18:18, 1 Peter 3:12, Mark 11:21
• Whatever you ask for in prayer and believe that you have received it, it WILL be yours. You can expect your prayers to be answered, that are according to God’s will – even if they do take time to manifest – Mark 11:24
• You are seated in Heavenly places with Jesus so you have access to everything that Jesus has access to – Ephesians 2:6
• You live under an open heaven. The dove descended – Matt 3:16
• You have the Spirit of wisdom living in you so you can solve the problems of the world with Heavenly solutions – Acts 6:3, Ephesians 1:17
• You have the power to move giant situations out of your way – Matt 17:20
• You may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding – Col 1:9, Eph 1:17
• You now have a responsibility to do the impossible – Matt 17:20
• You are no longer punished by God for your sin – Rom 6:23, 1 John 4:18, John 5:24 
• You now have the greater One living in you who is stronger than any enemy – 1 John 4:4
• You are sealed in Jesus with the Holy Spirit of promise – Eph 1:13 
• You are made alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), you are raised up with Him, and are seated with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus – Eph 2:5‭-‬6
• Through Jesus you now have complete access to your Heavenly Father – Eph 2:18
• You can now confidently draw near to the throne of grace so that you may receive mercy and find grace to help you in your time of need. You can live with a Kingdom perspective and change the world around you, and you can dream big as nothing is impossible with God – Hebrews 4:16
• You can have reconciliation in your broken relationships – 2 Cor 5:18
• You are a complete new creation, down to your DNA. The blood of Jesus doesn’t just cleanse you but transforms you – 2 Cor 5:17
• You do hear the voice of God because you are His child – John 10:27
• You can do everything that Jesus did while He was on the earth and even greater things because the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead and completely restored His damaged beyond recognised body lives in you – John 14:12-13
• You now have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying on the earth today – Matt 13:16
• You have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control inside of you – Gal 5:22-23 
• You are now more than a conqueror – Rom 8:37
• There is always more than enough – Matt 14:20
• You have the power to finish anything you have been assigned to do – Hebrews 12:2
• Your old self is dead. You are now alive in Christ – Gal 2:20
• You can have life and life abundant – John 10:10
• You can live without lack – it’s a requirement if you want to provide for others – Matt 6:3-4
• You can be prosperous in and out of season – Luke 5:1-11
• You can be, according to the riches of Jesus’ glory, be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, and know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God – Eph 3:16‭, 19
• You can be set free from tormenting spirits without any harm coming to you – Luke 4:35
• Because you believe that God sent Jesus, you now have eternal life, and you do not come into judgment, as you have passed out of death into life. John 5:24 
• Anytime you ask God to forgive you of sin, no matter how big or small, you are completely and totally forgiven and washed clean. There is no sin too big to be forgiven. Nothing you can do can make God turn away from you – 1 John 1:9
• You have been commissioned to preach the gospel to the poor, proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, – Acts 10:30
• You are the Bride of Christ – John 3:29
• Jesus made you to be loved by Him – John 3:16
• You have become His poetry, a new person that will fulfill the destiny he has given you, for you are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before you were born, God planned in advance your destiny and the good works you would do to fulfill it  – Eph 2:10
• God, the Father, sings over you – Zep 3:17
• Holy Spirit is your personal teacher, comforter and cheerleader, Spirit of Truth, and is a friend to you just like Jesus—and He will never leave you. You will know him intimately, because he has made his home in you and lives inside you – John 14:16
• God blesses you – Matt 5:45, Matt 13:16
• God has blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ – Eph 1:3
• You don’t have to put up with, or live in fear, anxiety and depression anymore – 1 John 4:18, Matt 10:31, Luke 1:74, 
• You can forgive the sins of any and their sins have been forgiven – John 20:23
• God partners with you in everything according to His goodness – Matt:1-20, 1 Peter 3:12
• You can activate angels to do the will of God – Psalm 103:20, Hebrews 1:14
• You can do miracles and signs and wonders – Mark 16:17-18
• You can lay hands on the sick and they will recover – Mark 16:18
• God has given you a brand new heart – Ezekiel 36:26
• You have authority to tread on serpents and scorpions (which represent anything from the enemy) – Luke 10:19
• Nobody can take better care of you than your Heavenly Dad – Matt 6:25-34
• You not only have the ability but you have the responsibility to torment the devil – Eph 6:10, Heb 2:14
• With God, you get to do more than you are capable of doing without Him – Phil 4:13
• You now have the ability, with Holy Spirit, to not sin – 1 John 2:1
• You can do what Jesus has already done if you realise that it is nothing that you have done or could do, it’s all about who He is and what He has done – Mark 11:24
• Your citizenship is in heaven, earth is only your temporary home – Phil 3:20
• God takes you just as you are and then He’ll transform your life into more than you could ever imagine – 2 Cor 3:17-18
• You are equipped you with every good thing to do God’s will – Hebrews 13:20-21
• The God of hope fills you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit – Romans 15:13
• When you are weak, Jesus is strong to enable you to do what you’ve been called to do – Phil 4:13
• You are now greater than John the Baptist – Matt 11:11
• You have the power to bring good news to the afflicted, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives and free the prisoners – Luke 4:18, Acts 10:38
• You have weapons against your enemy, the devil and demons – Eph 6:10-17, 2 Cor 10:3-5
• You now have all authority and power over the devil’s power because he has no authority – John 16:11, Heb 2:14-15
• You are gifted with everything you need to fulfil your purpose on the earth – Phil 4:19
• The eyes of the Lord are toward you and His ears attend to your prayers – 1 Pet 3:12

These are all yours – or they could be.

If you do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ and would like one, please say the prayer below. This gift of relationship with Jesus is free to you but it will cost you your very life – meaning that you will now live in partnership with Him. Your life will no longer revolve around yourself and your wants. It will be all about fulfilling the life that God has destined you to have. It’s so good! You will no longer be alone. You can talk to Him and He WILL answer.

There is no better life than this one!

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You that you have always known me, even when I have ignored you. Thank You that you have a wonderful plan for my life, alongside You. I am sorry for ignoring you and living for myself. I acknowledge and believe that you died on the cross for me, and rose again so that I might have an abundant life now and an eternal life in Heaven. Even when life doesn’t go according to my own plan, I will never be alone because You are with me. I place myself under your guidance and your love, knowing that your plans for me are always good. I submit my life to You – now and forever. My life is no longer my own and I no longer live for myself. Holy Spirit, come and live inside of me now and help me to live for Jesus.
