YOU Are Needed in This Puzzle Called Life

Have you ever wondered if there is more to life than what you are experiencing right now? Have you ever had thoughts run through your head like, “Am I important?” “Am I really needed?”

If so, then I am here to tell you that you are not alone.

I was sharing with a lovely friend the revelations of late that the Lord has been giving me – just how important every single human being is on the planet in this puzzle called life.

Are you blinded to the good things in life?

For most of my life, I tended to look on the negative side of life. You know, the cup is always half empty. I had read so many books, heard so many speakers, attended so many conferences, but I couldn’t escape the negativity that was constantly in my head.

How about you? Do you struggle with a similar issue?

I look back now and see how blinded I was because I now have an extraordinary husband, 6 amazing children, and all my needs are met. I have beautiful friends, a fantastic Church … but it was my own thoughts that I couldn’t get away from. Wouldn’t it be great if there was an “On/Off” switch in your mind at times?

(God showed me how these thoughts were never mine to begin with and how to overcome them. I wrote about it all here. The demons are all liars and they lie to you and me, EVERY … SINGLE … DAY!)

A Gigantic Puzzle

If you have been following me for any length of time, you will know that I am reading through the Bible chronologically. I have just finished. I encourage you to do it. I makes a lot more sense when the timeline is in order. YouVersion has an app that has a one year chronological reading plan that is easy to use.

As I have been reading through it, Holy Spirit has been revealing to me just how important every single person is in this puzzle of life, and how He used seemingly ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Every single person who has ever lived, who is alive right now – that’s you – and who is to come, is incredibly important to how Creation’s destiny is played out.

Each person is a single,
important piece of the puzzle.

As a child, I used to build puzzles with my mum. I think the largest one we ever finished was 5,000 pieces. My mum now has a puzzle that is a picture of baked beans, nothing else. From memory, I don’t think there was a picture of the final product that you could use as a reference. That’s more than difficult enough but the thing was, the picture was on both sides of the puzzle pieces. I left that one all to her.

When I think about life, I think about that puzzle.

Only Father God can see the final picture. You and me, and every other person in Creation’s entire existence, are each one single piece. How frustrating it is to be almost at the end of a large puzzle only to discover that you have 1 or 2 (or 10 or 20) pieces missing.

You are a very important puzzle piece!

I cannot stress this strongly enough!

Only Father God has the completed puzzle picture and YOU are an integral part of that picture. The picture is only completed at the culmination of time when Heaven and earth are both brought into wholeness (Eph 1:10).

This is exciting news!

It means that there is a very detailed and specific purpose that you have been created for. It doesn’t matter what you look like, what you sound like, what your past was, what your struggles are … God is longing to use you to fulfil His purposes on the earth.

I just love Psalm 139. There King David explains how intimately your Heavenly Father knows you. He created you with everything you need to fulfil your destiny – both on earth and in Heaven.

He didn’t forget or miss a thing.

NOTHING TAKES GOD BY SURPRISE!

No matter what gets thrown at you in life, good or bad, He has a plan to bless you and bring you through the challenges and bring you more joy.

Lately, God showed me a picture of what happens when we make a single decision. One decision can change the course of multiple people’s lives. Think of Hitler. Think of Jesus. Polar opposites but each affected the world through one decision.

You make a single decision, not knowing exactly where it will lead. From that one decision, God can create circumstances to open doors for you as you partner with Him or, He can close some doors in order to bring you back into relationship with Himself. Father God does this with every single decision that you make – good or bad.

YOUR LIFE MATTERS!

Nothing takes Him by surprise and He is able to redeem every one of your mistakes. How amazing is He? His ultimate purpose is to love you and be in intimate relationship with you. That’s how important you are to Him – ALL OF THE TIME!

I strongly encourage you to spend some time alone with Father God, ask Him to show you the ‘more’ of your life. There is always more of Him to be seen and known. Ask Him to show you just how important you are to Him and how you fit into His puzzle of destiny.

Jesus says in Hebrews 13:5, ” “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

God can’t lie.

You are important.
You were born for purpose and destiny.
